basic scaffold COURSE
ATTENDEES:
This course is aimed at trainee scaffolders who require basic scaffolding skills.
OBJECTIVE:
To give the attendees such knowledge and skills to enable them to safely erect, alter and dismantle basic scaffolding structures in traditional tube and fitting and common system scaffolds. Improve your knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, regulations, theory and practical behind usage of different types of scaffold.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT:
Little or no experience of scaffolds
Ability to understand simple English/Pidgin
Physically and mentally fit and can work at heights
Valid medical certificate
CERTIFICATION:
Successful delegates will receive a TeeJee Scaffolding Limited’s “Competent Person” Certificate of Training and a Competent Person” ID card
VALIDITY OF CERTIFICATE:
Certificate is valid for 2 years
Duration: 4 weeks

• Basic scaffold inspection
• Scaffold tagging/Handover
• Alterations to scaffolds
• Dismantling of scaffold
• 50 Question Test Paper

Practical Test
PPE:
Hard hats, Coverall, Safety boot. Safety Harness MUST be brought together with Ratchets, Spirit Levels, Measuring Tape, Hand Gloves and eye goggle. Complete PPE MUST be worn at all times during practical sessions. Shorts are not acceptable.
